INTERNATIONAL DRIVING PERMIT

An international driving license (IDP) is a translation document of your existing drivers licence and can be obtained in your home country before travelling to Sri Lanka.

We recommend arranging your IDP before departure, where applicable, to help prepare for your Shore & Trail expedition.

Depending on your nationality, driving licence and permit type, you may also need a Sri Lankan recognition permit or temporary driving licence to legally ride in Sri Lanka.

Important: You must have the correct motorcycle or scooter entitlement to ride our 125cc Honda Dio scooters. An IDP does not give you additional vehicle entitlements beyond those on your existing driving licence.
